No strangers to philanthropy and known throughout the community for their immense generosity, Andrew and Becky Jordon have a special connection to Thomas Health. Becky worked as a social worker at Thomas Memorial Hospital for many years seeing the needs of our community members up close and personal. It is one of the reasons along with her family that she is a strong supporter of our mission at The Foundation for Thomas Health. Not to mention her grandchildren have been born in our Thomas Mother/Baby Unit! The Jordons have been actively involved in the Charleston/South Charleston area for decades, donating much of their time and resources to the growth and advancement of their hometown. As a member of The Foundation for Thomas Health's Board of Directors, Becky is a veteran member of the Kanawha County Board of Education, and sits on the Head Start & Preschool Policy Council. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and is a board member for The Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Andrew, Owner and President of Pritchard Mining Company, has his own record of personal philanthropy, funding the Frances P. Jordon Golf Learning Center in Coonskin Park, played a major role in the creation of the Trace Fork Soccer Complex, as well as numerous donations to local schools to upgrade their sports fields. Andrew is also a Director on The Kanawha Valley Mining Institute, an organization dedicated to building and maintaining personal relationships within the mining community, providing a forum for educating its members in current events and developments in mining, new product and process developments, and support of the education of youth through financial scholarships.
We are grateful for the monthly recurring gifts The Jordon’s provide to The Foundation in support of the Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome Special Care Unit. Becky shared, “The Foundation’s Recurring Gift program allows us to make a more meaningful gift over a set period of time so the patients in need can benefit immediately from the programs and services funded by The Foundation. I especially like that I can donate directly from my smartphone in an instant.”
Your recurring gift of as little as $10.00 a month to The Foundation for Thomas Health, or $120.00 a year, could provide a new mother in our recovery program the opportunity to receive incentive-based supplies and items to assist her with her new born and other children in their family.
We thank Becky and Andrew and their growing families for their generosity and time that makes our community the place we choose to call home.
If you would like to be a member of our Monthly Giving Club, please make a recurring gift by visiting this link,
